Tesla, the American electric vehicle and clean energy company, has recently announced the appointment of Vaibhav Taneja as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Taneja, who is of Indian origin, will succeed Zachary Kirkhorn, who stepped down as CFO on August 4 after a thirteen-year stint with the carmaker.

Taneja is a Delhi University graduate and has over two decades of experience in accounting, having worked with multinational companies in technology, finance, retail, and telecommunications.
